ART GROUP       

Formed in March 2004, with five members, they have now grown to the present group of nine. Starting from the very basics, they have made much progress.  The group presented their first annual painting exhibition in December 2005; their latest exhibition featured as a news item and this can be seen here.  They also go out as a group to paint in the local area.  This is a very supportive group that has a lot of fun.

The Art Group is led by Di Liebscher who lends both her expertise and encouragement to students.   They meet weekly on Thursday Mornings at 10.00am at the NASO Centre, St Michael's Road, Northampton.  For further information about this group contact Di Liebscher on 01604 832745 or by email here.

There is now a new Art Group that runs every Friday afternoon at the Northampton NASO Centre. It was started by a group of of members taking an art course at the local campus of Leicester University.  There is no tuition at this group, just lots of mutual encouragement! This development was announced in NASO News Issue 10, February 2008.

TABLE TENNIS GROUP                 

This was originally  formed as a Friday evening leisure group with darts, cards, dominoes and table tennis.  Over the years the table tennis has taken over, and now between six and eleven ladies and men belong, paying a £6 annual NASO membership fee plus 50p a week. The weekly subs provide refreshments and sports equipment.
